Earlier this week, all Laurus Ryecroft students had the opportunity to participate in an educational workshop about first aid.
The workshop was delivered by the Northwest Ambulance Service as part of their Health education.
It covered basic life support and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Awareness.
Those who attended the session were able to gain crucial first aid skills and knowledge including:
- basic treatment for common injuries
- life-saving skills, including how to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- understanding the purpose of an AED and when one might be needed
Thank you to David McNally and the Ambulance Service for delivering this vital session.
