The Computing Department is excited to share the success of a recent school trip, where six Year 10 students visited the local police station to receive essential training on staying safe online. This experience led to them being awarded certificates and named Mobile Safety Ambassadors.

During the visit, the students participated in an informative workshop focused on digital safety, learning how to protect themselves while using devices and managing their online presence. The training covered key topics such as online privacy, responsible social media use, and safeguarding personal information.

As Mobile Safety Ambassadors, these students will now take on the important task of sharing their knowledge with fellow students. They will help their peers understand how to use technology safely and responsibly, empowering them to make informed choices in the digital world. These Year 10 students will lead efforts at Laurus Ryecroft to raise awareness about digital safety, equipping their classmates with the skills and confidence to navigate online spaces securely.

What began as a single workshop has evolved into a meaningful mission to promote digital responsibility throughout the school!
