A unique partnership with Manchester City Football Club

For students aspiring to excel both academically and athletically, we are excited to expand our high-level post-16 academic offerings. We are unbelievably proud to announce a unique partnership with Manchester City that brings this vision to life. Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form will host the opportunity for students looking to stay within an academic environment but continue their dreams in the football or sporting world.

Students will now get the opportunity to join our post-16 football programme which will consist of training sessions & competitive matches led by Manchester City coaches, strength and conditioning sessions and regular fitness testing, students will also partake in analytical sessions to review their performance, increase execution and build a portfolio for universities and or football clubs.

This unique collaboration allows our students to train in Manchester City’s renowned playing style and access the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art performance and development centre. Selected students will also have the opportunity to enrol in City Football Leadership Institute courses, paving the way for leadership roles within the sports industry.

I personally believe that students can excel both in the classroom and on the sports pitch. The Academic Football Pathway is the perfect program to support this vision. We want to collectively show what is possible.
