Laurus Ryecroft is delighted to announce that a staggering 80% of Y11 students attained 4+ in both their English and Maths GCSEs this summer, the school community could not be prouder. An outstanding 85% of all GCSEs awarded were grade 5 or above, and an incredible 27% of grades were 7-9, the top achievable results.
The school could not be prouder of this cohort, whose education has been heavily disrupted by Covid and are thrilled to announce that both attainment and progress are up at Laurus Ryecroft.
Reece Carling, Head of School, said:
“Our school’s vision is all about opening the doors to the future of their choice, and with an incredible 80% of students passing both their English and maths, we know that they have a bright future ahead of them. These results are a testament to the incredible effort and dedication of our students, teamed with the unerring commitment of our teaching staff. Whether students choose to stay on at our 6th form, or seek pastures new, we could not be prouder of them and wish them every success.”
The celebrations do not stop with Y11 though, as Y9 students were also celebrating their extraordinary GCSE Spanish results. A whopping 44% of students attained a grade 7-9, with over 80% awarded a pass grade.
Linda Magrath OBE, CEO of the Laurus Trust, added:
“We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible GCSE results of our Year 11 and Year 9 students. They have truly excelled with a record-breaking set of examination results that will open doors to the future of their choice.”
