Moving to Secondary School
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all the students who will be starting at Laurus Ryecroft (LR) in September; all of our staff are really looking forward to seeing and working with you.
We hope your child will enjoy attending our induction day in July and will find it helpful to familiarise themselves with the school and get a taste for what a day at LR is like.
We look forward to welcoming your child to Laurus Ryecroft on Tuesday 3rd September 2024. Your child should arrive at school at 8:20am and they will leave at 3:15pm. We wish you and your family a safe and relaxing summer.
– Mr R Carling, Head of School
Take a look inside our school…
Our Ofsted Outstanding teachers have high expectations of all students. Our young people, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) or who are supported by Pupil Premium, make rapid and sustained progress. Indeed, we believe that socially disadvantaged students should receive the same education as those in the best private schools and our curriculum structure is based on students developing a core body of knowledge.
In this positive learning environment, students’ attitudes to learning are exemplary. Staff and students are unreservedly positive about both behaviour and safety. Here at Laurus Ryecroft, we aim to ensure that our young people can open the door to the future of their choice.
